Spark Upgraded


It’s barely been a couple of month since launch of the Chevy Spark and the news has tricked in that upgrades are soon to arrive. At the Barcelona Motor Show 2007, the company had a redesigned Spark with new front and rear bumpers. The larger air dam replace he cute looks with sporty appeal. Recesses for fog lamps are also provided. At the rear, things look the same except for the reversing lamps reduced to single and a brake lamp. Everything else including the 63ps one-litre engine, tranny and interiors remain the same.

The re-bumpered Matiz will go on sale in Europe over the next few weeks, and will make it here soon as most of the parts are yet to be indigenized.

Volkswagen Starts Indian Operations

The ball has started rolling over at volkswagen. The company recently launched its first sales office in India. The company is initially targeting Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore for establishing its dealer network and will gradually expands to other Indian cites. It intends to set up more than 10 Volkswagen dealerships in 2008. The first model to come would be the Passat by the end of 2007 and the Toureg in 2008.

Managing Director Joerg Mueller will head Volkswagen Groups Indian operations. He will also be responsible for managing the group sales company in Mumbai. Andreas Prinz was appointed head of Volkswagen passenger Volkswagen Group sales India Private Limited.
